InBody Analysis: Precision
Tracking for Real Progress
We utilize the InBody 570 body composition analyzer in every treatment room for a data-driven approach to weight loss. This technology provides detailed breakdowns of muscle mass, body fat percentage, visceral fat, hydration, and more. With each visit, we can closely track your body’s response and adjust your plan accordingly. Patients also get access to the InBody app to monitor their progress at home between visits.
RMR Testing
The RMR (resting metabolic rate) test is a simple, non-invasive test that accurately measures how many calories you burn at rest. During the test, a machine captures and analyzes the composition of your breath. As a result, we are able to determine your oxygen consumption and measure the rate at which you consume energy.
Micronutrient Testing
Micronutrient testing is a blood test that measures specific vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, amino and fatty acids, and metabolites in your white blood cells. Furthermore, a micronutrient test can reveal deficiencies correlated to conditions like diabetes, fibromyalgia, hypertension, hypothyroidism, dyslipidemia, insomnia, asthma, estrogen or testosterone imbalances, headaches, inflammation, depression, anxiety, and weight management.
Clinically Guided Weight Loss Medications
While medications are never our only tool, they can be an important part of a comprehensive plan when medically appropriate. At Melamed Weight & Wellness, all prescriptions are provided with close medical supervision and always paired with nutrition counseling, lifestyle guidance, and ongoing support.
GLP-1 Medications
We prescribe Wegovy (semaglutide) and Zepbound (tirzepatide). These are advanced, FDA-approved treatments that help regulate appetite, blood sugar, and metabolism. They are particularly effective for patients with insulin resistance, PCOS, prediabetes, or other metabolic conditions.
Appetite Suppressants
We also prescribe FDA-approved appetite suppressants such as phentermine and Tenuate (diethylpropion) when appropriate. These medications are never used on their own, but as part of a structured, physician-guided plan tailored to your needs. Medications are only one piece of the puzzle and we’re here to help you use the right tools, at the right time, for lasting, healthy change.
